テレワーク等で様々な分野のオンライン化が進む中、英語研修のトレンドも変化を見せています。英語研修の2020年最新トレンドとその成果をご紹介してみたいと思います。

 

**企業の英語研修、最新トレンド・キーワードは「リモート」「AI」「個別フォロー」**

コロナ禍により、研修業界も大きく変化しています。ちょうど新入社員研修が始まる矢先だったため、既存のオンライン研修会社には特需があり、リアルの研修もオンラインに切り替えるところが出てきているようです。この状況から、研修のオンライン化が進むと同時に、社内英語研修にも新しい流れが出てきています。そのキーワードが、「リモート」、「AI」,そして「個別フォロー」です。

 

**「リモート研修」と英文Eメール研修**

新しい日常、New Normalの必要性から、今後は研修のみならず、様々な活動にリモート化が進む傾向となると思われます。今後は、リモートの機器やツールも大きく進化していくでしょう動画を活用したリモート・オンライン研修もさらに需要が増えていくと思われます。また、リモートワークに伴い、メールのやり取りがこれまで以上に日常的に必要とされるため、英文Eメール研修にも大きなニーズが生まれると考えられます。

 

**「AI」による最適化とデータの一括管理**

これまでは講師にゆだねられていた学習状況の確認や、個々の得意・不得意分野の把握、そして対応がAIによって可能な時代になってきました。

そのため、学習の最適化を目的とするAIを活用した研修が主体となってきています。また、それに伴って、研修とAI搭載のアプリケーションを連動させるケースも多くみられます。

オンラインの動画配信による自習と、講師自らによるフォローアップを実施するオンラインと個別フォローの語学研修、Terra Talk, Coori, スタディサプリなどを組み合わせた英語研修なども成果を上げています。

AIが得意とするのは、情報の一括管理と整理ですから、学習回数や、利用・出席回数のみならず、学習の進捗状況、毎回クリアーできない個々の課題などをデータにより一括管理することができる点で、いわゆるEdtech（教育（Education）× テクノロジー（Technology））の流れと相まって今後加速していくことが予想されます。これからは、テクノロジーの活用がキーワードとなりそうです。ただ一方で、個別フォローについてのニーズも多くみられます。では、それは、具体的にどんなものでしょうか。

 

**学習データを「個別フォロー」で効果的に活用**

AIを活用した学習データは、それがフルに活用されなければ意味がありません。既にAIの学習データに基づきAI自体が学習者にアドバイスや、次なるステップ、学習フェーズを提案、管理するシステムも生まれていますが、実際には、データの活用として最も効果的なのは、ヒューマンサポ―トによる、個別フォローだと言われています。

これまでは、把握が難しかった受講者の学習特性を、AIによって把握できた後は、LA：Learning Assistant などが、学習者に個別にフォローすることで、得られたデータをフルに活用することが可能になります。AIやアプリと個別フォローの組み合わせが今後研修の新しい流れとなってくるでしょう。

 

**ブレンディッド・ラーニングへの流れ**

一方で、英語研修、特に英会話やプレゼンテーション、あるいは発音トレーニングなど空気感を大切にする英語研修では、「リアル」の研修へのニーズも高まっていくと思われます。実際、リモート明けにリアル研修を待ち望む受講生の声も聞かれます。

今回のコロナ禍の状況からのリモート・オンライン研修の流れに加え、AIやアプリと個別フォローをセットした新しい形のBlended Learning（ブレンディッド・ラーニング－知識習得やテストなどをeラーニングで行い、ディスカッションやロールプレイなどは集合研修で行うという、２種類の学習方法を併用した研修スタイル）が、今後英語研修の流れとなることは間違いないようです。テクノロジーとヒューマンサポートは、今後の語学研修の目玉となるといえそうです。
