(まだ正式な見積書はもらっていないけれども、ベンダーと電話で話すことはできた。) ● 複数のものを列記する時 何かを列挙するときは A, B, and Cのような形でカンマを打ちます。 例： We need to invite Kate, John, Mary, and Eric to the meeting. (会議にはKate, John, MaryとEricを呼ばないといけない。) ● 句や節のあと 文節と文節の区切り、特に、文節ごと文頭に動かされた情報のあとにはカンマが必要です。下記の例文は倒置されており、本来の文はI think we won’t have a problem in terms of the timeline.です。 例： In terms of the timeline, I think we won’t have a problem. (行動計画に関しては、問題ないと思います。) ● 付加情報を挿入するとき（関係代名詞の非制限用法） 前述したことを説明するために、前後にカンマを加えて付加情報を文に挿入することができます。カンマで挟まれた箇所を抜いても文が成立するのが特徴です。例えば、次の例ではカンマの間を抜くとThe new building will open next week. となり、意味を成します。 例： The new building, which will be home to 10,000 employees, will open next week. (1万人の社員の新たな勤務先となる新しいビルは来週オープンします。) ● 接続副詞のあと 文の冒頭にくる接続副詞の後には必ずカンマが必要です。 例： We just started operations in APAC. However, the management decided to close the APAC office next year.
